Tammy Carvey, 45, matched four white balls and the Powerball – 11-23-44-61-62 PB: 17 – in the Sept. 6 drawing to win a $50,000 prize. Thanks to the Power Play, the prize was multiplied to $100,000. She bought her winning ticket online at MichiganLottery.com. “I only play Powerball when the jackpot gets up there and the jackpot was over $1 billion so I bought a ticket,” said Carvey. “I asked ChatGPT for a set of Powerball numbers and those are the numbers I played on my ticket. “When I checked the winning numbers, I saw I matched four white balls and the Powerball and knew I had to have won something. Google told me it was a $50,000 prize, so that’s what I thought I’d won. It wasn’t until I logged into my Michigan Lottery account that I realized I added the Power Play to my ticket and actually won $100,000! My husband and I were in total disbelief.”

A young Nottinghamshire woman who won the £45m EuroMillions jackpot said she had only played the lottery about half a dozen times. Cassey Carrington and Matt Topham, both aged 22 and from Stapleford, played the lottery online and won £45,160,170.50 in Tuesday's rollover draw. Miss Carrington said she was feeling lucky after receiving a bonus at work, so set up an online account. It is the second major EuroMillions win in the county in three weeks. Gareth and Catherine Bull, from Mansfield, won £40m in the EuroMillions draw on 20 January.

ohn Fistler of Hemingford won $50,000 playing Powerball from the Nebraska Lottery. Fistler purchased his ticket at the Nebraska Lottery’s Event Trailer at the Nebraska State Fair in Grand Island. Fistler’s ticket contained four plays for the August 23 drawing, one of which matched four of the five winning numbers (11, 14, 34, 47, 51) and the Powerball (18). He’d come to the State Fair to check out the 4-H project his grandson entered and happened to walk past the Nebraska Lottery Events Trailer and just had a feeling. “I usually play all the games,” Fistler said. “Lotto, Truck$ & Buck$. Something told me to just play Powerball and nothing else.” That premonition paid off and Fistler walked away with a $50,000 win.
